1. The service
WiseInbox is a local-first desktop email client that connects to email services you choose. It can organize, search, summarize, and answer questions about mail, help prepare drafts, and carry out mail actions you initiate. Beta features may change, be interrupted, or be withdrawn.
2. Permission to use WiseInbox
We grant you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use WiseInbox for lawful purposes during the beta. WiseInbox and its original software, design, and branding remain the property of their respective owners. Third-party components remain subject to their own licenses.
3. Your accounts and instructions
You are responsible for your device, email accounts, and the accuracy of account information you provide. Connect only accounts you are authorized to use. Review summaries, answers, drafts, recipients, attachments, and actions before relying on or sending them. You remain responsible for messages and account actions you choose to send or apply.
4. Acceptable use
You may not use WiseInbox to:
- Violate law, another person’s rights, or an email provider’s rules.
- Access an account or data without authorization.
- Distribute malware, spam, fraud, harassment, or deceptive content.
- Interfere with WiseInbox, its security controls, or related services.
- Use Google user data for surveillance, advertising, data brokerage, lending, or credit decisions.
5. Privacy and Google data
Our Privacy Policy explains how WiseInbox accesses, uses, stores, and shares information, including Google user data. Your use of Google services also remains subject to Google’s applicable terms and policies.
6. Third-party services
WiseInbox depends on services and software we do not control, including macOS, your email provider, Ollama, local models, and internet infrastructure. Their availability, security, terms, and data practices are governed by their providers. We are not responsible for third-party services.
7. Beta and AI limitations
Beta software and model-generated output can be incomplete, delayed, or wrong. WiseInbox should not be your only record of important communications, deadlines, financial information, legal obligations, or safety-critical facts. Keep provider copies and verify important information against the original message or source.
8. Disclaimer
To the fullest extent permitted by law, WiseInbox is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted operation, or error-free output. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or warranties that cannot lawfully be excluded.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the WiseInbox publisher will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, revenue, opportunity, or goodwill arising from WiseInbox. Any liability that cannot be excluded is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for WiseInbox during the preceding twelve months or US $25. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limits, so these limits may not apply to you.
10. Suspension and termination
You may stop using WiseInbox at any time. We may suspend or end beta access when reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, service integrity, or a material violation of these terms. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination—including ownership, disclaimers, and liability limits—will survive.
11. Changes and general terms
We may update these terms as the product changes. Updated terms will carry a new effective date, and material changes will receive any notice required by law. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer these terms without our consent; we may transfer them as part of a reorganization or sale, subject to applicable law and the Privacy Policy.
